A chameleon among bond funds

What if your bond fund could flexibly follow the prevailing market conditions? A chameleon can change its colour depending on the temperature, time of day or mood.[1] The DWS Eurozone Bonds Flexible is similarly adaptable.

Remain flexible

Actively manage duration

The fund management continuously adjusts the duration in the portfolio, particularly when market conditions change. If interest rates rise, bond prices fall and vice versa. The higher the duration of a bond, the greater the impact on the price. It is therefore important to manage this in the portfolio depending on interest rate expectations.

A stylised chameleon climbs down a sloping surface. When interest rates fall, the duration increases in order to generate price gains.A stylized chameleon climbs up a slippery slope. If interest rates rise, the duration is reduced to counteract possible losses.

Remaining flexible and taking advantage of opportunities on the bond market is the philosophy behind DWS Eurozone Bonds Flexible.
