The fact that the price fixing by the custodian bank on the last trading day of a month for some funds can be up to ten hours the time difference between fund price determination and benchmark price determination for some funds, may result in over- and undersigning of the fund performance in comparison to the benchmark performance at the end of the month in the event of strong market movements during this period (so-called "pricing effect").
Explanations and model calculation
Acceptance: An investor would like to purchase units for 1000 Euro. With a maximum issue premium of 3.00% he must spend 1030.00 Euro for it.
The gross value development (BVI method) takes into account all costs incurred at fund level; the net value development also takes into account the front-end load; further costs may be incurred at investor level (e.g. custody account costs). Since the front-end load is only incurred in the first year, the gross/net presentation differs only in this year. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future performance.

Blend with bias to value
The Fund management aims to achieve comparatively high dividend yields and high dividend growth in the emerging countries, with risk management being integrated into the investment strategy. The investment universe is among others defined by environmental and social aspects and principles of good corporate governance. The fund is actively managed.
--
The performance can be influenced by the global stock markets, especially of Emerging Markets, company and sector specific developments and exchange rate fluctuations. The sub-fund may focus its investments on different sectors, countries and market segments for a certain time period on variable basis and it could use derivatives which could also lead to further performance and risks.
The fund is intended for the risk-tolerant investor who, in seeking investments that offer targeted opportunities to maximize return, can tolerate the unavoidable, and occasionally substantial, fluctuations in the values of speculative investments. The high risks from volatility, as well as high credit risks, make it probable that the fund will lose value from time to time, and expectations of high returns and tolerance of risk are offset by the possibility of incurring significant losses of capital invested.
Risk note: The investment fund exhibits increased volatility due to its composition/the techniques used by the fund management, i.e. unit prices may be subject to substantial downward or upward fluctuations even within short periods of time.

Fund Equity Style
The fund focuses on high dividend-yield and high dividend-growth companies with moderate pay-out ratios, strong balance sheets and cash flow, stable or expanding business model, and strong management. The geopolitical situation remains a factor of uncertainty for the equity markets due to the war in Ukraine, the escalation of conflicts in the Middle East, and the trade policy of the US administration. A stronger US Dollar is historically less favorable for global emerging markets, while weaker...
The fund outperformed the broad market in September. From a country / region perspective, the fund had overall positive allocation, mainly due to the positive contribution from underweight in India, China and Saudi Arabia, partially offset by the negative contribution from overweight in Singapore....
The combination of rising oil prices and higher interest rates weighed on stock market sentiment in September. Yields on long-term government bonds in the US rose to levels not seen in many years, driven by concerns over persistent inflationary pressures and the trajectory of high government budget...

MiFID-II information
From January 3, 2018, on, investment firms which engage in investment services under the Directive 2014/65/EU (Markets in Financial Instruments Directive – „MiFID II“) have to comply with certain new requirements for the distribution of investment funds under the respective national implementation laws in the individual Member States of the European Union.
As part of the new rules, investment firms are required to identify or review and refine, as the case may be, the target market for each financial instrument they distribute. This means that they have to specify the type(s) of client for whose needs, characteristics and objectives the financial instrument is compatible. Further, MiFID II introduces new cost disclosure requirements which aim at increasing cost transparency for investors on a quantitative as well as on a qualitative level. Accordingly, investment firms have to disclose all relevant costs to the client; i.e. those relevant to the investment service and those relevant to the product. The costs have to be aggregated and provided ex-ante (i.e. before the client purchases a product) as well as ex-post, as the case may be, during the lifetime of the investment on at least a yearly basis.
The asset management companies pertaining to DWS support this process by delivering relevant data to the investment firms to enable them to fulfil their new legal obligations. To provide an enhanced level of transparency, the target market and material product cost related MiFID II data are additionally displayed here below with regard to the relevant investment fund.
Important Notes:
The following data is provided on a voluntary basis only and may as such, without further explanations and additional information, i.e. in particular the information contained in the relevant sales documentation of the investment fund (e.g. fund prospectus, KIID) not be sufficient or suitable to assist a potential investor in taking an informed investment decision. It is therefore recommended that investors also carefully read the sales documentation prior to any potential investment decision, and, in particular in case of any questions, consult their investment advisor.
The information on ongoing product costs may deviate from the cost data contained in the relevant sales documentation of the investment fund (e.g. the KIID). The reason for this is that the requirements to display ongoing costs and charges at product level pursuant to the new MiFID II regulations go beyond the existing disclosure regulations applicable to the asset management companies under their relevant regulatory frameworks (i.e. the UCITS Directive or the AIFM Directive and their respective national implementation laws). For example, the estimated transaction costs of an investment fund are not part of the description of the ongoing costs in the relevant KIID established by the management company. Under MiFID II, an investment firm will however have to disclose such costs as part of the costs of the product in good time prior to a potential investor’s investment decision. Thus, the ongoing costs related to the product displayed here below as “total ongoing costs of the product” may, due to differences in the calculation and disclosure methodology, deviate from the sales documentation of the fund.
DWS does not accept any responsibility or liability whatsoever in relation to the data except in case of gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
